This internship has been great so far. I've been able to go to a Bruins each month and help with the production of the pre- and post-game, as well as intermission reports both at the TD Banknorth Garden and in the NESN Studios. I have helped create multiple feature packages for Red Sox Spring Training, Hockey East Friday, and The Buzz. The Producers are great to work with, and I've been free to help in basically any way I want. There has been a little bit of grunt work (e.g. making copies), but the majority of work has been helpful both to my employers and to me in learning how hte industry works. The benefits significantly outweigh the boring stuff. I would recommend this internship to anybody that wants to get into sports journalism, especially if they enjoy watching or discussing Boston professional or college sports.
