Arts Horizons is a non-profit organization that specializes in doing arts-based educational programs in schools and workshops for art professionals.

This internship was a great one for someone who didn't have a lot of office-work experience, as it provided the basics that many jobs require you to have. Additional to the office work (filing, answering phones, sending out mailings) I was given a lot of responsibility after about a month of being there. After a colleague saw a PowerPoint presentation I had done for one department, she asked if I could create a larger one that would be used for promotional materials, and several others highlighting programs the organization did. The office-life was wonderful, the people are fun and extremely personable, and if I needed to rearrange my office hours they were great about it.
If you live in North New Jersey, the location is also ideal for an internship. The office is at the corner of Grand Avenue and Palisades Avenue, the main street in Englewood. The area is chock-full of restaurants, shops, and is close to Rt. 4.

Strongly recommend this internship!
