It was a great internship, it was essentially a real job in a start up guerilla marketing company. HandBrand Media focuses on stamping the hand of bar and clubgoers as they enter the bars.
My job included finding new clients, and any clients I got I was able to get a big cut of (30% of profit), and then I helped to manage the creative process and execute the stamps, find the bars to fit their target market etc. It was great because they trusted me and didn't just treat me like a silly intern, and I could put in as much or as little time as I wanted. I didn't have to go to an office every day, just contact them once a week and tell them how I was doing, and of course if I needed them at any time they were ALWAYS there to help. An overall great experience and I really got a feel for the advertising industry first hand.
