My internship with MAP was wonderful. Although I performed a lot of smaller tasks, they were all necessary to the creation of our planner and the company. The environment is VERY relaxed, yet there is always something to do. I learned about what it takes to run your own company, especially a newly formed one. There are so many little things that go on in the publishing industry, and this internship introduced me to them. The other interns I worked with were very nice and knowledgeable. My boss was really great throughout the whole internship and made sure I had the opportunity to learn about my interests. I managed the blog for our website, researched small things for the planner, did some filing/packaging type work, and edited write-ups for our locations once they came in. Seeing how the planner all came together was amazing. I definitely recommend this internship to anyone interested in writing, publishing, travel, or marketing.
