As an intern, I got to do most/many of the tasks that actual pharmacists do on a day-to-day basis, which was good. I also got to observe what the clinical specialists at Farm Fresh do, which was interesting and neat. I think I'd be very interested in working for a retail pharmacy where the majority of my time could be spent doing MTM, counseling, and other clinial services.
The internship was not too stressful (it wasn't like the stress of a school semester, for sure!). I had a few projects and assignments, but most were beneficial and good learning experiences.
My final project presentation was definitely great practice for me and I think it helped boost my confidence in presentation skils. It was also a good learning experience to expand my knowledge about our topic.
I also really enjoyed the staff at the Farm Fresh where I worked. They were nice, friendly and pretty laid-back. I had plenty of time to work on my intern assignments and they welcomed me as part of the team.
