Having not had a great deal of agriculture/international development experience prior to this internship, I found the content and the work very stimulating. As a Communications and Marketing intern (and the only one in my department), I was tasked with interviewing the various volunteers of the Farmer-to-Farmer program upon their return from respective assignments in the countries CNFA operates. I would then draft a press release, distribute it to local media, and garner press for CNFA. Being the only Marketing intern gave me a lot of room to make suggestions, learn, and take on a great deal of responsibility.

The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and very friendly. There is a wonderful camaraderie in the office, and many people willing to provide a helping hand. In terms of a communications/marketing standpoint, as an intern I was never bored, between helping provide technical support to the website, drafting press releases, researching and developing media lists.
