United Way is a wonderful organization that has truly committed, kind and passionate employees. I was fortunate enough to work with many different individuals on 6 major fundraising events for UWNYC. This is an organization where you receive recognition from the people who deliver your paycheck to the CEO of the company- meaning, everyone's job is valued and appreciation is showed a lot.

Arts Horizons is a non-profit organization that specializes in doing arts-based educational programs in schools and workshops for art professionals.
This internship was a great one for someone who didn't have a lot of office-work experience, as it provided the basics that many jobs require you to have. Additional to the office work (filing, answering phones, sending out mailings) I was given a lot of responsibility after about a month of being there.
