Working with a doctor at NYU is really a combination of what you make it and what they will allow you to do. My internship was basically just running tests for a new Alzheimer’s vaccine. However, there are some doctors who will let you do your own research if you come to them with a proposal. I also really enjoyed my internship because of the post grad who supervised my work. The hours are almost always negotiable and are really based on how much work you can do in a given amount of time. However, ...

This was a great internship. The work environment was very friendly from the beginning. Also, because it is a relatively small company I got the opportunity to work on major projects including the coordination of a fundraiser and development of a publicity campaign. However, I think the thing that really made this internship unique was the networking available and advice and critiques I got from my boss.

Basically this is NOT really a job for someone who thinks what the claims conference does is interesting and wants to get involved. It is more of a secretarial/ accounting position. The compensation is very fair and it does provide some expierence working with excel and other accounting programs.
