There were some plusses and minuses to this internship. I was considered the PR authority in the office, which only had at most 5 people at a time in it. This prospect was a little daunting seeing as it was my first internship. Whatever press releases or memos I wrote, immediately went out to editors, bloggers, writers etc. There was no one editing my work. Although I did receive some training in things I had not encountered before, like Cisionpoint and Sharepoint, I often came in and had nothing to work on. If they did not have any tasks for me I did copyediting or compiled clip books manually. I did enjoy the people. For the most part they were instructional and welcoming.
