This was an amazing internship for me to have. I got two recommendation letters out of it, as well as a contact at ESPN Headquarters in Bristol, CT. The production interns do a ton of important work for the station, including preparing commercials and audio clips for the show. I was made fun of plenty on air, but it was all in good fun. The people are great to work with. I also did some PR work for the station, which was great as well. I helped set up and played in a wiffle ball tournament in my second week ...

This internship has been great so far. I've been able to go to a Bruins each month and help with the production of the pre- and post-game, as well as intermission reports both at the TD Banknorth Garden and in the NESN Studios. I have helped create multiple feature packages for Red Sox Spring Training, Hockey East Friday, and The Buzz. The Producers are great to work with, and I've been free to help in basically any way I want. There has been a little bit of grunt work (e.g. making copies), but the majority of work has been helpful ...

I am very glad that WZLX was my first internship. Karlson & McKenzie in the Morning was a great start to my career. It is very low pressure, but what you do as an intern actually matters. I edited clips of the show to put on the website, helped find sound bytes to put on the show, accomodated guests to the show (such as ESPN Baseball Analyst Peter Gammons), and even appeared on the show multiple times, including once for almost five minutes. Both the producers and the on-air talent were easy to work with, and I even got to ...

I have worked for the Dennis & Callahan Morning Show for the past two months, and it is a lot of fun, despite being early in the morning. I have looked up interesting stories for the on-air talent and prepared audio clips for both the show and the website, and even posted them on the website myself. There is some copymaking and occasionally getting breakfast for my employers, but I always get free food out of it. This internship is good for anybody looking for a start in the field of sports radio.

Being a broadcaster for the Cape League was a great experience. I can't say enough about how fun it was to go on air for 40 games. It required a ot of pregame research, but the elbow grease really paid off in the quality of our broadcasts. I did both play-by-play and color commentary with the broadcast manager, and I learned how to set up both audio and video broadcasts, which we aired on the internet. I also helped put together the players section of the yearbook by contacting the Media Relations Departments of the various colleges the players were ...
