Environment: My boss created a really laid back and fun atmosphere. I was able to schedule the internship around my school hours. If I had an important test or commitment, my boss was very flexible in letting me take off a day or coming on a different day. My boss is open to any suggestions which makes you feel like part of the team.
Responsibilities: This is different from a "typical" get coffee internship or a big company internship as you are working very closely with few people and are given projects that matter. Your opinion ...

MAP provided real world experience for me during my marketing internship. I was able to perform a variety of tasks related to marketing, including creating video contests, scavenger hunts and helping with the event at the South End Open Market. The office environment was very laid back and casual. You can wear whatever you want as long as you look put together! My internship with MAP was wonderful. Although I performed a lot of smaller tasks, they were all necessary to the creation of our planner and the company. The environment is VERY relaxed, yet there is always something to do. I learned about what it takes to run your own company, especially a newly formed one. There are so many little things that go on in the publishing industry, and this internship introduced me to them. The other interns I worked with were very nice and knowledgeable.
