I was basically a CNA that got paid $2 less/hour what the "real" CNAs got paid. Since I am a nursing student, I was hoping for more "nursing" experience. Also, I signed up for the oncology unit, but didn't know it shared a floor with MedSurg and Pulmonary. I ended up spending more time on the MedSurg/Pulmonary end than on oncology.

I had up to 13 patients for 12.5 hour shifts, 3 days a week. A few times I did 1:1 with a psychotic/suicidal patient but these were not very often. I did the full work of a ...
