The internship I had was in the Finance department, some like to call it "Back Office" which gives it a little bit of a sour taste. I personally worked in Accounting Policy which fits into my major, accounting. They gave me actual documents to review, and when I got the hang of what I was doing they started just asking for my opinion without actually reviewing it page by page themselves. Because of this summer's market conditions, I wasn't as busy as I could have been in other years, but I was no busier or less busy ...

Great compensation, but experience and the quality of the internship varies a great deal according to which group/department the intern is placed in.
