My internship at inSegment was a challenging and rewarding experience. Challenging in that you are often given a very general task and expected to deliver results; rewarding when you push yourself outside your comfort zone on a project and learn a new skill because of it.
The best aspect of the internship is that you can have a direct hand in the affairs of the company; working on client projects, writing ad/sell copy, organizing PPC campaigns, analyzing results, implementing both on and off-page SEO, building landing pages, and researching opportunities for exciting new internet-based ventures. inSegment moves very fast, so there cannot be one set intern track, and no step-by-step set of intro, mid-level, and advanced intern tasks. This was my first internship experience and I'm glad that I chose inSegment. The bosses were really welcoming and very helpful with any questions that I had. I worked on really cool projects like designing a website and creating ads. I felt like a real part of the team and not just a coffee maker or errand runner.

While most of us interns at inSegment didn't have much marketing experience coming in, we were quickly taught the ropes such that we could assume real responsibility. A common day often consisted of assignments such as keyword research, linking building through blogs and helping unravel a social media campaign. Consequently, it was easy to remain engaged in the tasks at hand.
Also, all of the figures I reported to at inSegment were incredibly accessible and eager to both teach and make assignments clear. The management is savvy enough to understand that it's in everyone's best interest ...

inSegment was a fantastic exerience for my first Internship. At first I felt somewhat concearned about how my duties as a designer would apply in an Internet marketing company, i thought mostly that I would be doing lame website work and long boring coding. Yet once the workload began I was pleased to be a part of a great variety of projects and tasks in different parts of the company. My work ranged from doing logos, to testing out new iPhone apps, and even doing some layouts for the company itself. I also learned how to deal with what ...
