At ECPR, we interns do a lot of grunt work like skimming newspapers, clipping media mentions, posting to calendars, making phone calls, etc. What internship or job doesn't require that? What makes ECPR such a great place to intern at is the willingness of the staff to bring you, the intern, to events and get to know you and your goals. The staff is also willing to give you writing assignments and other real-life tasks. After my internship here, I expect my portfolio to be full of incentives for a future employer to hire me. ...

I can't say enough good things about my internship at Elizabeth Christian & Associaties Public Relations! Since I started my internship just over a month ago every team member has gone out of their way to make me feel competely comfortable in my new role. I have been allowed to particapate in writing press releases, creating media lists, completing calendar listings, finding and clipping client articles, brainstorming new ideas, and I have even been allowed to attend both print and TV interviews with our clients. All this in a little over a month! My faviorte aspect ...

Elizabeth Christian is the end all and be all of PR in Austin. She knows everyone and everything. Spend a semester with her and her staff, and you will get real world experience, a solid skill set, and you will have a blast doing it.

All the staff members at Elizabeth Christian & Associates Public Relations were extremely friendly and always eager to help or answer any questions. I learned a tremendous amount about how a PR agency runs and what PR professionals do on a daily basis. The internship program at ECPR also gives interns opportunities to work outside of the office and help with events for various clients, which was very beneficial to see all their hard work come to life. I truly enjoyed being an intern at ECPR and know future interns will feel the same way!

I got to go with a team to a special celebrity event. It was very exciting to see a real-world situation. I have also been to a news taping, a press conference, and tours with the media. Everyone has been welcoming an always made sure I knew of any upcoming intern opportunties. I have written releaes, put together media lists, worked on calendar listings, ran errands and participated in many activities I would not otherwise had the chance to do. ECPR is a professional setting where you really learn what the PR world is like.
