This internship exceeded my expectations in nearly every way possible. Unlike most internships, the prime focus is on education and exposure to all aspects of pharmacy. Everyone I met within SUPERVALU pharmacies was extremely nice, accomodating, and driven. This was a great opportunity for networking. I have participated for the past 2 years in the Supervalu Pharmacy Intern Program. Both years the opportunities I was able to experience exeeded my expectations. I experienced everything in community pharmacy from everday workflow to clinical services to management. This internship has allowed me to enhance my counseling skills and has given me a lot of real world experience that I can not get from a class. I would highly recommend this internship.

I loved this internship. It was so much more than I expected. Everyone that I met in the company were great role models that were willing (and enjoyed!) teaching me about different aspects of retail pharmacy that you don't learn in school. The program was very organized and I got to learn and shadow different roles within the company besides the typical pharmacist role. By participating in this internship, I feel as if I have not only grown as a future pharmacist but also as a person. I would strongly recommend this internship to anyone interested in retail pharmacy.
