This was a very well structured internship and provided me with many opportunities to grow and learn. I believe I learned a great deal that will help me as I go into my 2nd year of pharmacy school. I highly recommend this internship.

This is a great internship! I would recommend it to anyone. One word of advice is to do your homework, and make sure you pick a store that is known to have a helpful preceptor working there. Ask students who have already participated in the internship to recommend a good store.

Although I would have really liked to work with a clincial pharmacists a few times, I greatly enjoyed the internship and would definitely recomend it to any pharmacy student. The store I worked at was receptive to my position and all the supplemental activites at corporate were great additions to my experience. If I was not going into my rotations next summer, I would consider applying for the internship again.

I learned so much doing the Supervalu internship. It is one of the most structured internships in community pharmacy and is a great opportunity for students to get experience doing things other than working as a tech, especially after the first professional year. I highly recommend establishing a relationship with the clinical specialist in your area and working with them to get experience doing MTM, diabetes programs, and other things. The manual is great and will be a good resource for the rest of school.
