City Lights' internship program was not very structured when I was an intern, but I think they are working to improve that. This internship was great because I was able to learn about various areas in the entertainment field. I read scripts for the Director of Acquisitions and Operations and learned how to writer "coverage" = the professional write-up of script analysis. Because I buddied up to the producer of the television show "Movies 101," he trust and relied on me so for the show I was: an on-set production assistant, transcriber of episodes, and observed editing sessions.
