I read the previous reviews on this website and I really wish that I had not joined LifeTIme Media. Even after many years things are the same. This is the worst place in the world to do your internship. The show is run by one lady who hires 10 interns every season to run her company and only one paid employee. Zero experience and guidance sine she is never in office. And when she decides to come in she gets her 5 year old daughter along and guess what?? You have to baby sit her.

As an editorial intern, my experience was definitely better than those in the design or accounting "departments" since I actually had a supervisor. My direct boss, the executive editor, was amazing - she and the other interns kept the place from being a total hell. Besides the executive editor, there is the President of the company, and the publisher/marketing person - 3 paid employees total and about 10 interns - no joke - the president interferes in every "department" and made things worse - I gave it a rating of two only because of my direct boss (otherwise it would've ...

All I can say is that I couldn't stand the place and left after one and a half months. I don't care if an internship does or doesn't provide compensation, because I am more interested in gaining industry/work experience. This internship didn't offer me either of those things. The only thing I learned was how not to run a company/organization and to be more mindful when accepting a/n job/internship offer the next time.

FYI, the interns don't get reimbursed for travel expenses. That's another reason I had to leave - not learning anything + losing money.

This place was truly horrific, and definitely a time that I will remember for ages.

CONS:
- Very, very cramped closet-sized rooms to work in
- 4 times more unpaid interns than there are employees
- The constant buzzing of a child next to your ear for most of the afternoon
- Half naked baby running around on occasion (yes, I am aware of what I wrote, and it is not a mistake)
- Cleaning up after the baby every once in a while (which was clearly not in the job description)
- Background music (Barney, Dora the Explorer, ...
