I worked here while doing my intel science research project on multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injuries. I was in highschool when i did this internship, so i was really just glad to have the opportunity to be working with a professor and professional researcher at NYU. There were many great things about this internship, i had the opportunity to do hands on research, and observe really complicated procedures which were extremely helpful for my project. Working with a doctor at NYU is really a combination of what you make it and what they will allow you to do. My internship was basically just running tests for a new Alzheimer’s vaccine. However, there are some doctors who will let you do your own research if you come to them with a proposal. I also really enjoyed my internship because of the post grad who supervised my work. The hours are almost always negotiable and are really based on how much work you can do in a given amount of time. However, ...
