My review may be a little biased because I have now been employed at Zoic for over 4 years, but I busted my tail to get where I am at. It's a lot of running around in your car, but that makes the internship the glue of the company really. I was told from day one, especially in the entertainment business that I would need to work from the bottom up and no one was going to hand me anything, so I took the opportunity to make connections on my own and honestly walked into the CFO's office ...

The internship at Zoic was necessary in sparking my career in VFX. It gave me the opportunity to see exactly how the production pipeline works in a VFX Studio. It also opened up many opportunities for me to meet producers and artists who have been huge influences in my learning and growth as an artist. The internship at Zoic is an internship, so yes, there is some work involved that is not necessarily the most fun. I believe Zoic Studios does give their interns a chance to make the most of their internship. I did have to do quite a bit of runs, which was expected, but I was also able to get in on projects. In addition, the people are awesome, and the talent is incredible. My advice is that YOU make the most ...

I believe this was what an internship should be. Being an intern means not just getting something to work on but helping out the company so you can get to know what it's like to work in the industry. The runs and shopping and various other 'office' duties were all part of what being an intern is and the bonus is getting to work on things. This was my foot in and I will always appreciate what I got out of it.

I'm not sure if you could even call Zoic's internship an 'internship'. It's more like they make you an unpaid production assistant. They make you water plants, take out the trash, clean the kitchen, get food from the grocery store, drive 30 miles to drop off tapes at random places, and you never get to talk to anyone important or do any kind of production at all. Basically, they save money by not hiring janitors and other facilities people or couriers and just use the interns for all that. Taking all of that into account- I suppose to get into ...
