Interning with Genesis Interactive / GotGame was definitely a unique and surprising experience. What began as a remote, online internship I worked at from my home in Indiana became a full-time job and the reason I am now living in San Francisco. The internship truly is what you put into it and want to get out of it: because of its online nature, you work on projects when you want, so long as they are completed on time. My internship with GotGame (part of Genesis Interactive) has been great. These people and this work environment is like none other. This internship really helped link two great hobby's I love: gaming and design. Other than having a blast at Gaming Events, where I put my marketing and promotional/advertising skills to the test, I was also able to really exercise my design capabilities to their full potential, and now my work is recognized by a huge audience!

I've got nothing but love for gotgame. we're a fast moving company, things are always changing, and progressing. handling some of the front end work for our company allowed me to see what real-work experience is like. I come in when I can...or else I make time for gotgame. gotgame has become a large part of my life, and I hope that I can continue to work here later on. xfire is going down. ya dig.

I initially worked remotely, while I was abroad. Genesis Interactive inc( aka Gotgame) taught me a lot about Online media, and opened my eyes to whole new industry I was unaware of. They were extremely understanding about my schedule, and gave me meaningful tasks I could learn from.
I was than able to work in the office in the latter half of my internship. I was able to work very closely with the CEO and other higher ups. They were very focused on my growth, and I think I am better prepared for ...
