Good time in a comfortable, fun atmosphere, that was also motivating, and educational. This internship was definitely not what I was looking/hoping for, but I think it's pretty typical of a public relations or communications internship. I did a lot more watching than doing - in fact, interns weren't really given the chance to do anything except answer phones and compile media lists. The people in the office seem as accommodating as they can be without giving too much privilege. Hours were really flexible so we could choose which days of the week to work, full days. I answered the phones all day, compiled and updated press clippings, pitched to the media on a daily basis, and updated media lists. I thought the internship was a waste of time. No opportunities to attend/help at the events you pitched for, for weeks. No interaction with anyone else besides those in the office. And I was the only intern, so there were no other interns to talk to.
