I was part of a program called the EPOD at Epic--it's not your typical internship program. I worked on a team charged with creating and executing grassroots strategy, brand partnerships and other big ideas that would help break one of Epic's newer emerging artists. I WAS one of the band's publicists for the summer targeting various market segments by crafting different publicity messages and reaching out to big and small sites and blogs.
