I'll begin by stating that what I initially thought would be a stimulating and interesting internship turned into a summer of mainly packing hats into boxes...Its kind of like a Eugenia Kim sweatshop in the heart of New York City 'no pay and harsh conditions' Data entry Data entry Data entry.....stamping envelopes for direct marketing campaign....a boss that acted like a spoiled child constantly moaning and stamping her feet...I could go on and on but I'll retire the negatives you get the point...the positives...the people (excluding the bosses) were the nicest people you could ever meet friendly, funny and highly ...

As a Eugenia Kim intern, you will essentially be an unpaid-- and unappreciated-- employee, taking on key tasks that should be rewarded, either with money or gratitude. The positive aspect of having a level of responsibility that is wholly disproportionate to your lack of compensation is that you will learn more in a few weeks here than you would in a few months at a big company. As a production/design intern, I quickly learned the ropes as I sourced fabrics and trims, haggled with vendors, performed quality control, assisted with factory operations. A "career changer," I wouldn't have been afforded ...

Wow....BRAVO to the post above. I was planning on writing a lengthy account of my experience, but we have a lovely and acute description above that took the words right out of my mouth. Sadly, it is a truthful account and every word is spot on

Working for Eugenia Kim was definitely an experience. I signed up to be a PR intern, but PR was hardly what I did. I spent most of my days with my fellow PR interns (whom i loved) packing and shipping hats, headbands and belts. I went in expecting a great internship and I was really disappointed. There were often outrageous requests made and I think they really took advantage of their interns.
