I loved my internship with XM last summer. The people were great, it was a very relaxed environment, and I got paid! The overall structure of the program allowed for a lot of meetings with upper level management which was great experience when preparing for a job. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in radio, or a fun atmosphere to work in.

Since I have been at XM, I am always comparing other companies to it because I feel that I have not come across many others that can compare to XM's internships program, as well as, their overall atmosphere. I have not been there in almost a year, but I am still in constant contact with various employees from XM. I feel that it was an amazing experience and a definite chance to be a real world situation everyday. I felt important and it was very much an opportunity to really make what you can out of it. I learned more from my 12 week experience at XM Radio than in any class I have taken in college. The best part of interning with XM is applying knowledge that you already have and expanding upon it. I chose to return for a second internship at XM and I am more excited for this term than I was the first.

I did a combination of research, data analysis in Excel and condensing that information into Powerpoints that had the key metrics and interesting aspects of the data I had researched. The powerpoints were sent to upper people in the finance division, which I thought was really cool. I had other friends throughout the finance, marketing, and business planning divisions, and day-to-day work differed a ...

XM was/is one of the best internships/overall jobs that i have ever had. Being in the enviroment that i want to be in when i graduate was a great feeling. Sure there is some of that usual and annoying grunt work but every internship has one. XM is really one of those places where you make out of it what you want to depending on what you put into it. Its def a place to be if your serious bout radio and trying to get a foot in the door
