Literally the best internship at SIRIUS XM. I went into totally freaked out. Don't worry if it's about an old guy. You get to do equal amounts of work of everyone else. You will never have this chance again.

Good introduction to corporate finance. Essentially cut off from music business / radio programming that everyone seems to love so much. Still nice to be in the same building as that. Learned more about excel than I thought possible. Worked on analyzing monthly budget variances and helping with Q1 reforecast. Read through a variety of contracts to assist with finance department approval. Often left with not a lot to do, which was kind of good in that it helped keep my grades up. Other interns were pretty cool. SIRIUS XM Cafe is the best place to eat ever.

I worked along side company employees doing the exact same work. The second half of the internship was devoted towards teaching me whatever aspect of the radio business that I wanted to learn. My normal duties were to cut soundbytes from on-air interviews and highlights from games. as the internship progressed I began doing weekly on air work reading the schedule for the days play-by-play games for the preview channel.
