Marlo is very much a go-getter, however I would not recommend working at the agency...interns are treated as strickly unpaid administrative assistants...there are tons of opportunities in Boston- look around before settling here.

Never ever work here unless you are a freshman looking for some extremely basic PR internship experience. There are so many other places to work in the city. Expect to take out the trash, be called a moron by your boss, deliver mail..all kinds of grunt work. The last thing you should expect to do here is anything PR-related. They don't need interns here, they only hire interns because it's free labor and they really do milk you for it. You're a receptionist, you're the garbage lady, you're the mail woman..everything.

The worst part about this internship was the exuberant amount of grunt work. As an intern you are not treated with much respect if at all. The people under Marlo are generally very nice but to everyone you are just a little errand-runner. Nothing more. Marlo herself is unapproachable, at times extremely rude, and almost everything you do comes with a look of "you're an idiot", much less a thank you. Definitely explore your options before accepting an internship here.

Best part about this internship: location.
Worst part about this internship: everything else.

This place sucks. I've learned nothing except that I never want to be like Marlo and have everyone around me talk behind my back. She is VERY behind the times when it comes to PR (large in part being to the size of the agency) and I feel like I could have taught her more than she could ever teach others because of how outdated she is. It's sad, really. She is SO lucky to have a couple of good people under her because otherwise, she'd ...

I cannot believe how negative so many of these ratings were! Honestly, I have had many internships and I can tell you that they are only what you make of them. If you put in the time, effort, enthusiasm and dedication you are going to have a great learning experience that will open many doors for you. If you don't then you will get nothing out of the experience...that is what probably happened with all of these bitter interns.

If you are looking for a real public relations experience you will find it here. Sure ...
