Basics

1. What is InternshipRatings.com?

   InternshipRatings.com is a new website to rate, research and compare internships in various industries across the United States. You can check out our about section for more information about the site and its founders.

2. What’s with the coffee cups?

   Internships are stereotypically known for their grunt work, so we decided that coffee cups would be a fun icon for a rating system… coffee cups are the new stars!

3. What do the little icons mean for internships?

   The icons symbolize the four most important aspects of an internship, which are summarized in the key on each company profile. The icons will appear if 51% of users agree an internship was great for these qualities.

4. How do I find and rate my internship?

   You can find an internship by using the advanced search fields on the left side of each page, by clicking "Find By Location" or "Find By Industry." You can also use our interactive Flash map on the homepage to search by state. Note that you must have the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player installed to use this feature. You can install it by clicking here.

5. Why are the font sizes different for industry and location advanced search results?

   That’s what we like to call a “Tag Cloud.” The more internships there are for any given industry or location, the larger it will appear in comparison to the other entries.

6. My region isn’t listed, what’s up with that?

   If we missed your city, please contact us so that we can add it! If you live in a rural area, you can use our advanced search to locate nearby internships by zip code.

7. I can’t find the company that I want to rate.

   Not a problem! You can add a company to InternshipRatings.com by clicking here.

8. How do I rate an internship?

   You can rate an internship by searching for a company and then clicking the "Rate This Internship" button. If you can’t find your company, please add it to the site by clicking here. You must first be a member before you can add or rate internships.

Accounts

1. Can I rate anonymously?

   Of course you can! InternshipRatings.com enables you to rate your internship experience privately. Once you log in, visit "Account Settings" to keep your profile anonymous.

2. Is it necessary to keep my ratings anonymous?

   Not at all! In this age of transparency, we encourage you to rate with a user name so that other interns know who is posting. This allows members to see the ratings you have added and determine what kind of a judge you are.

3. How do I join the site?

   You can become a member by clicking join at the top right corner of the site.

4. How do I log in?

   You can log in by clicking login at the top right corner of the site.

5. How do I access my account?

   In order to access your account you must first log in and then click "My Account" at the top right corner of the site.

6. I forgot my password! What do I do?

   You can retrieve your password by clicking here!

7. How do I change my password?

   You can change your password at any time. First, log in and then click "My Account" at the top right corner of the site.

8. Something isn’t working right. What should I do?

   We are a new site, so please let us know if you encounter any problems. We’re always looking for feedback to help us fix issues and provide users with the best experience possible. Please visit our contact section to let us know about your incident.

   XHTML and CSS were used to build InternshipRatings.com. They are the latest technology to keep websites streamlined, fast-loading and viewable by mobile devices.
